The Fichtner Group

Healthy Growth in Turbulent Times

The Fichtner Group successfully continued expanding again in 2025. Gross operating revenues increased for the sixth consecutive year and now stand at 374 million euros. As in previous years, the domestic market in Germany remains the backbone of the business, accounting for nearly half of its revenues. Encouragingly, all of our overseas subsidiaries are also performing well and are thus contributing to the Group’s growth trajectory. Despite a market environment that remains challenging, this positive trend is expected to continue in the current year.

Die Fichtner-Gruppe 2025

A Summary of the Year 2025

Despite significant economic and cyclical headwinds, the Fichtner Group remained on a growth trajectory again in 2025. Virtually all key performance indicators are developing positively. While order intake has stabilized at a very high level across the Group, gross operating revenues rose by 5.4 percent. The growth is primarily attributable to the region encompassing Germany and the Rest of Europe. Earnings before taxes also improved once again, and – perhaps even more importantly for the near future – the headcount increased to 2,417 employees. This has further strengthened the foundation for delivering our accustomed high-quality support for the client projects entrusted to us.

Europe (including Germany) remains the region with the highest sales, accounting for 72 percent of gross operating revenues. When looking at gross operating revenues by field of activity, the focus continues to be on the Energy business sector, which also includes power transmission and distribution.

Multi-Year Growth Trajectory Successfully Continued

The positive performance in 2025 continues a long-standing trend, with the Fichtner Group increasing its gross operating revenues for the sixth year in a row. This is driven by the company’s strong market position in Germany, the successful development of its international subsidiaries, and its consistent focus on future-oriented markets such as energy, grid infrastructure, and water. Parallel to the growth of its business, the company has also steadily increased its headcount, thus strengthening the foundation for further sustainable growth.

Reorganization in the Water Sector and in the Saudi Arabia Region

To further strengthen our support for clients in key international growth markets, particularly in the water sector, as well as to leverage synergies between departments and to utilize project capacities more efficiently, Fichtner Water & Transportation GmbH’s international business unit was integrated into the parent company, Fichtner GmbH & Co. KG, in early 2025. Our international activities in the water sector were consolidated at the parent company and successfully integrated into its existing organizational structures and processes over the course of 2025. At the same time, Fichtner Water & Transportation’s successful work as a competent partner in the German market continues unchanged.

Another step which is in line with our “ONE FICHTNER” guiding principle and is aimed at bringing us closer to our clients is the expansion of our activities in Saudi Arabia. In early 2026, our branch in Saudi Arabia was converted into an independent local company. In doing so, the Fichtner Group is solidifying its presence in an important and dynamically growing market while also laying the organizational groundwork for further growth.

Globally Connected – Locally Present

Locations of the Fichtner Group

Internationality – The Fichtner Group operates globally, possessing experience in over 170 countries and a diverse team from 66 nations. We have subsidiaries, branches and project offices in over 60 countries.

A Look Ahead

2026 has also begun with previously unforeseeable developments. The German economy continues to grapple with historically low growth rates, the political flashpoints in Ukraine and Iran remain unresolved, and the regulatory framework at the EU level continues to call for prudent action. Given the positive and dynamic developments in the international energy markets, bolstered by a strong order backlog, we continue to see more opportunities than risks overall in our business sectors and regional markets for the coming financial years. We are confident that we will continue on our growth trajectory and put our expertise to work in many projects together with our clients.
