Michael Schmidt

Michael Schmidt has been working at Fichtner GmbH & Co. KG as a project manager for wind and photovoltaics since 2017, operating out of Fichtner’s Vietnam office in Hanoi since mid-2021. He represents Fichtner’s renewable energies division on site and manages the wind power projects underway there. In addition to acting as project manager on many due diligence projects, the other focus of his work is on owner’s engineering projects. As well as performing typical technical project management tasks in IPP projects, Michael Schmidt coordinates the interfaces to financial and contractual issues. Until the end of 2020, for example, he was deputy project manager as part of the Saudi Vision 2030, which Fichtner is supporting as technical advisor in relation to the development and tendering of wind and PV projects. It was there that the idea originated for the Fichtner TenderCube, a cloud-based tender platform individually tailored to clients’ requirements and operated by Fichtner.
